What is Remedial Massage.

Remedial massage is a manual therapy modality with a combination of hands-on techniques and movement to assist in the relief of musculoskeletal tension, aches and pain. A remedial massage treatment is ideal for focusing on specific areas of muscular pain, injury management or restore other dysfunction that has developed over time, by using a number of techniques to manipulate the soft tissues to alleviate symptoms.

Remedial massage offers many  short- and long-term benefits for people experiencing a range of musculoskeletal pain and discomfort.

How can it benefit you?

  • Stimulate blood supply to affected areas

  • Assist in the tissue healing process

  • Aid joint mobility

  • Release muscular tension

Prior to your treatment?

  • Bring any along any information that is relevant to your musculoskeletal pain

During your treatment:

To allow us to address your musculoskeletal pain, our therapists will examine the affected region and perform a number of biomechanical, postural and neurological tests to gauge function to assist us in identifying possible problematic tissues or other structures that may be causing your pain.

Depending on the findings, our therapists may use a combination of techniques (listed below) to reduce pain, increase movement, decrease stress and give that overall relaxed feeling.
